Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Specialist

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5-7 Years

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets including laptops, desktops, peripherals, procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory records using ServiceNow and ensure proper asset tagging and tracking.
- Track asset allocation, ownership, location, and status from onboarding to decommissioning.
- Conduct periodic asset audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Ensure compliance with IT asset management policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with security teams to manage lost, stolen, or non-compliant devices.
- Work with vendors and procurement teams for hardware ordering, returns, warranty tracking, and SLA management.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, and Decommissioning) activities.




- Prepare reports on asset utilization, inventory accuracy, compliance, aging assets, and costs.
- Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

- Hands on experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) or IT Asset Management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Asset Management.
- Robust understanding of asset lifecycle management, inventory control, audits, and compliance.
- Experience in vendor management, procurement coordination, warranty, and SLA tracking.
- Good analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills: ITIL knowledge/certification and experience in enterprise EUC environments.
