Subject Matter Expert K–12

Role Overview

We are seeking dynamic and forward-thinking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Botany to contribute to the development of AI-enabled, curriculum-aligned digital learning experiences for students across Grades K–12.

The role involves creating high-quality academic content, developing structured learning pathways and assessments, and using AI-powered tools and contemporary pedagogical approaches to build engaging, scalable, and concept-driven learning experiences.

The SME will work closely with curriculum teams, instructional designers, product teams, and AI-assisted content tools to ensure academic accuracy, conceptual clarity, and effective learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI-Assisted Content Development

- Develop high-quality subject-specific learning resources, including:

- Concept presentations
- Lesson plans and concept explanations

- Worksheets and practice exercises
- Application-based learning modules
- Teaching scripts and learning activities
- Use AI-powered content generation tools to support content drafting, structuring, and ideation while ensuring academic accuracy and quality.
- Break concepts into learning outcomes, micro-concepts, and structured concept maps.
- Simplify complex concepts using appropriate examples, analogies, visuals, and real-world applications.

1. Assessment & Question Bank Development

- Design conceptual, analytical, application-based, and subject-specific questions aligned with learning objectives.
- Develop and maintain structured question banks categorized by:

- Learning outcomes





- Difficulty levels

- Cognitive levels/Bloom’s Taxonomy
- Exam patterns, where applicable
- Use AI-assisted tools for question generation, variations, and difficulty calibration.
- Develop quizzes, practice modules, worksheets, and formative assessments.

1. Digital Curriculum & Learning Design

- Contribute to the development of digital curriculum, learning pathways, and micro-learning modules for K–12 learners.
- Collaborate with curriculum, instructional design, and product teams to create engaging digital learning experiences.
- Incorporate visual models, simulations, real-world examples, and interactive elements wherever relevant to the subject.
- Support the development of concept progression maps and structured learning journeys.

- Ensure content is aligned with relevant K–12 curricula and major educational boards.

1. Learning Analytics & Continuous Improvement

- Review learner performance, assessment results, and engagement data to identify learning gaps and content improvement opportunities.
- Use feedback and learning analytics to continuously refine content, assessments, and learning experiences.

- Maintain structured documentation of

- Content revisions

- Question bank updates

- Curriculum changes





- Version tracking

- Assessment improvements

1. Collaboration & Quality Assurance

- Work collaboratively with instructional designers, curriculum experts, product teams, and technology/AI teams.

- Review AI-generated and digitally developed content for subject accuracy, relevance, clarity, and curriculum alignment.
- Ensure all learning assets meet defined academic and quality standards.
- Contribute ideas for improving the overall digital learning experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge and conceptual clarity in the respective discipline.

- Robust understanding of K–12 curriculum across major boards.
- Experience in teaching, academic content development, curriculum design, EdTech, or digital learning platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, generative AI platforms, and AI-assisted content creation tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and content-development skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for learners across different age groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and agile academic environment.
