Role Description The Sr.

Piping

Engineer – Plant 3D Software role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. This role involves leading and executing piping design activities using Plant 3D and related tools for industrial and process plants, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The Sr.

Piping

Engineer will perform detailed piping layout, routing, and equipment connectivity, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and review drawings and models for accuracy and constructability.



Daily tasks include performing engineering calculations, conducting piping stress analysis, preparing technical documentation, and supporting design reviews and client interactions. The individual will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to best practices, and support continuous improvement of piping engineering workflows.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Piping Design and Piping layout for industrial and process facilities.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Pipe systems, components, and material specifications.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering Calculations related to piping, loads, and code compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Plant 3D or equivalent 3D piping design software is required.
- Good understanding of relevant piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO) is preferred.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs;, general arrangement drawings, and isometric drawings accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or certifications in piping engineering are an advantage.
- Experience in sectors such as oil and gas, process, energy, or infrastructure is beneficial.
