Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Solar Engineer to manage the design, execution, and commissioning of solar power projects in and around Kolkata and Eastern India. The role involves end-to-end project responsibility, coordination with EPC vendors, DISCOMs, and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.r

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

- Design rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Prepare SLDs, layout drawings, BOM, and technical specifications.
- Perform energy yield generation, shading analysis, and system optimization.
- Support inverter, transformer, and plant configuration decisions.

Project Execution

- Supervise installation and commissioning of solar projects.
- Ensure compliance with MNRE, DISCOM, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and module mounting teams.
- Conduct on-site inspections, testing, and quality checks.

Liaison & Approvals

- Coordinate with WBSEDCL / local DISCOMs for net metering and grid approvals.
- Support documentation for commissioning, sync approval, and plant handover.

Operations & Maintenance (if required)

- Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot generation issues.




- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of plants.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with EPC partners, module suppliers, and inverter vendors.
- Track project timelines, material deliveries, and installation milestones.

Qualifications & Skills

- B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- 2–8 years of hands-on experience in solar EPC or project execution.
- Strong understanding of solar PV system design, components & safety norms.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, PVsyst, or Helioscope (preferred).
- Experience working with DISCOM approvals and net metering.

Preferred Background

- Experience in rooftop, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects.
- Prior experience in EPC or IPP companies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across West Bengal and the North-East.
- Strong communication, site coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

- ₹3.5 LPA – ₹10 LPA (depending on experience)
