We are looking for an experienced Solar Design Engineer to support the Engineering team of a US-based solar company. The role will focus on development and revision of engineering plan sets and providing technical design support for PV solar projects. Successful candidates will be working as embedded team members of the US-based Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and revise detailed solar electrical engineering plan sets.
- Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings based on project requirements and engineering direction.
- Perform electrical design, calculations, equipment selection, conductor sizing, voltage-drop calculations, and related engineering tasks.
- Support technical engineering inquiries and design revisions.
- Run engineering models and calculations as required.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Head and US-based engineering team to deliver accurate, high-quality designs.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on US solar system design experience; US C&I; experience preferred.




- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Advanced AutoCAD proficiency — mandatory.
- Strong understanding of NEC and US electrical design practices.
- Experience with solar PV electrical design, including SLDs, equipment, conductors, grounding/bonding and related design considerations.
- Experience with HelioScope, PVsyst or Solesca is preferred.
- Solid written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage design deliverables with limited supervision.

Work Arrangement

- Remote full-time contract position for a customer in US, based in India.
- Regular work will be performed during IST working hours. 8 hours a day expected.
- Availability for occasional US team meetings up to 11:00 PM IST is required; regular night-shift work is not expected.
- Early joining within 2–4 weeks is preferred.
