Position Summary and Role Overview

We're looking for a Software Application Quality Assurance Engineer who can own test automation end-to-end across web and mobile, work comfortably in an enterprise product environment, and bring modern AI tooling into the testing workflow. You'll maintain scalable automation frameworks, dig into complex system issues, and help ship high-quality releases faster.

You'll report to the Engineering Manager, Quality Engineering, depending on your skill set — Mobile or Web.

As part of the QA team, you will actively contribute to identifying bugs across the entire production cycle. Our goal is to reduce bugs in the production environment to zero. The current Agile release cycle is five weeks, and we want to reduce this to one release every four weeks. Our current release is No. 331. The QA function has the following teams:





- Web – Manual regression testing, including writing scripts for new features
- Web Automation – Using Playwright; a large transition from Selenium is a top priority here, along with maintenance of existing scripts due to possible changes in each release
- Mobile QA – iOS and Android, including backward compatibility, with a focus on iOS on iPads. The automation tool here is Appium.
- Accessibility – A key component, mandatory for US delivery

What You'll Do

- - Maintain and extend automated test suites for web (Playwright) and mobile (Appium) applications
- Write clean, maintainable automation code in TypeScript, Java, and Python
- Test enterprise-grade features including workflow engines, dashboards, and dynamic form creation, ensuring correctness across complex user journeys and configurations
- Investigate failures across the stack — application, API, and data layers — to isolate root causes and drive them to resolution
- Integrate AI-assisted tooling (e.g., Claude and agent-based skills/workflows) into test design, test generation, debugging, and documentation
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and reporting for automated tests

Required Skills

Technical

- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Java
- Proven experience building automation with Appium (mobile) and Playwright (web)
- Solid understanding of test design patterns, framework architecture, and maintainable test code
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Comfort debugging across the stack: application, API, and data

Nice to Have

- Exposure to API testing and accessibility testing (WCAG, TalkBack/VoiceOver)
- Domain experience in the airline or emergency response system space
- Experience integrating AI/LLM-based tools into engineering or QA workflows

Education

- Over 85% in 12th Boards (CBSE)




- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, with a CGPA above 8.0

- Experience & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or higher degree in CSE, CE, BCA, or MCA, with a strong academic track record from a renowned Tier-1 institution
- Overall Experience: 2–3 years of demonstrated professional engineering experience in QA/Frontend Development
- Team Collaboration: Proven experience successfully working with and resolving issues alongside cross-functional teams — mainly AI, UI/UX, new feature development, and ticket resolution — under a tight deadline, given our strict five-week Agile build process

iv. The next step will be an interview with the Front End Lead in the US, or the HOD, followed by a panel interview to finalize the hiring decision.
