Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester (QA Engineer) with 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in software testing methodologies, and the ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by identifying defects and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
2. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
3. Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools.
4. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
5. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve issues efficiently.
6. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
7. Execute API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
8. Perform database validation using SQL queries.

Ensure software quality through continuous testing during the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
10. Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, and quality metrics.
11. Contribute to process improvements and QA best practices.

Required Skills

1. 4+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance.
2. Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
3. Experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
4. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
5. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
6. Hands-on understanding of API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
7. Positive knowledge of SQL for database validation.
8. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
9. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter is an advantage.
2. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is preferred.
3. Experience testing web, mobile, or cloud-based applications is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
