Role Description The Software Intern role at JARNOX is a full-time, remote position supporting the development of cybersecurity solutions for financial technology systems. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will assist in designing, implementing, and testing software components under the guidance of senior developers.

Responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, working with databases to store and retrieve application data, and participating in code reviews to learn best practices. The intern will help troubleshoot bugs, contribute to documentation,



and collaborate with cross-functional team members such as product and security engineers. This role offers practical experience in secure software development, exposure to real-world financial technology use cases, and an opportunity to learn modern tools and workflows in a qualified environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar).
- Basic understanding of Databases, including data modeling, querying, and working with SQL or NoSQL systems.
- Introductory knowledge of Software Design concepts, such as modular architecture, object-oriented principles, and maintainable code structures.
- Familiarity with Testing practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging techniques.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Interest in cybersecurity and financial technology, with a willingness to learn about secure coding and threat-aware design.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage time independently, and collaborate using online communication and project tools.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; prior internship, personal projects, or open-source contributions are a plus.
