Software Engineer, remote, working the UAE day for Hamd Holdings, a Dubai-based group of three operating companies.

About the group

Hamd Holdings is the parent of Magnetic Keys, an AI-integrated marketing agency; Lymora, an AI workforce and enablement company; and Special Minds, a special educational needs support service. The group runs several websites and internal web applications, most of them built with AI-assisted development tools including Claude Code. This role owns all of them and reports to the Chairman.

What you will do

- Take ownership of the group's websites and web applications: hosting, domains, DNS, deployments, uptime, backups and security.
- Maintain and extend codebases built in Next.js and TypeScript, with Python build scripts, Supabase and SQLite databases, and static hosting on Hostinger and GitHub.
- Work fluently with AI-assisted development: review, test and correct code produced with Claude Code, and use it yourself to ship faster without lowering the standard.
- Run every change through the existing checks: build, fact-check, contrast, SEO and link gates, before it reaches production.
- Set up analytics, forms, email delivery and payment flows correctly, and keep them working.
- Keep repositories, environment variables, credentials and access tidy and documented, with least-privilege access for every team member.
- Respond to production issues during the working day and keep a short log of incidents and fixes.
- Advise the Chairman in plain language on what to build, buy or retire.

What you will not do





- Deploy to production without the checks passing and a written note of what changed.
- Store credentials, client data or children's records anywhere outside the approved systems.
- Publish a factual claim, price or date on any site without a source, or change site copy on your own initiative.

Who this suits

- Four or more years of professional software development, at least two shipping and maintaining production web applications.
- Strong in TypeScript, React and Next.js, comfortable in Python and shell, and confident with Git and GitHub workflows.
- Real experience with hosting and DNS, static and server deployments, Supabase or a comparable Postgres platform.
- Daily user of AI coding tools who can explain what they get wrong and how you catch it.
- Cares about performance, accessibility and search, and can read a Lighthouse report and act on it.
- Writes clear notes. Handover documents and incident logs are part of the job.
- Full professional proficiency in English. Comfortable working remotely on UAE hours.

Hours and terms

- Full time contract, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 Gulf Standard Time, with on-call for production issues by agreement.
- Monthly fee stated at first interview, paid against invoice.
- Six-month initial term with review.
- Contracting entity is one of the group's operating companies, named in the agreement.
- Your own computer and connection; the group provides accounts and access.
- A confidentiality and intellectual property agreement is signed before starting. Reference and background checks are conducted after an offer is made.
