About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer specializing in Ruby to join our client's energetic team on a remote basis. The role involves working on cutting-edge projects focused on large language model (LLM) evaluation and repository validation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software engineering and a keen interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.

This is a full-time position offering the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to collaborate with a global team from anywhere in the world.

The primary responsibilities involve building datasets for LLM evaluation, analyzing open-source code repositories, and developing robust testing environments. You will work closely with AI researchers and software engineers to create verifiable tasks from public repositories, ensuring comprehensive coverage across programming languages and difficulty levels.



Your contributions will directly impact the development of AI tools that assist in software development and code quality assessment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails. Demonstrated expertise in version control systems such as Git, containerization tools like Docker, and familiarity with setting up reproducible software pipelines are essential. Candidates should have the ability to navigate complex, real-world codebases, modify code, and run tests locally.

Experience with Ruby testing frameworks, including RSpec and Minitest, as well as gem management through Bundler, is required. Prior contributions to open-source projects or experience evaluating open-source repositories will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

- Analyze and triage issues from GitHub repositories across trending open-source libraries to identify suitable evaluation scenarios for LLM testing.
- Set up and configure code repositories, including containerizing environments using Docker to ensure reproducibility of tests.
- Assess and improve unit test coverage and code quality metrics to maintain high standards of code health and robustness.




- Modify, run, and debug Ruby codebases locally to evaluate the performance of language models in bug fixing and code completion tasks.
- Collaborate with AI research teams to design challenging repository issues and select appropriate datasets for evaluation purposes.
