Position Name: Showroom Assistant Manager

Job Summary The Assistant Showroom Manager will support the Showroom Manager in managing daily showroom operations, sales activities, customer service and staff performance. The role requires active floor supervision, team coordination, product presentation, stock coordination and ensuring that showroom standards and sales targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Showroom Operations

- Assist the Showroom Manager in managing day-to-day showroom operations.
- Ensure the showroom is opened and closed according to company procedures.
- Monitor cleanliness, discipline, grooming and overall showroom standards.
- Ensure all departments/sections are functioning smoothly.
- Support the Showroom Manager during peak hours, weekends and festival seasons.

2. Sales & Target Achievement

- Support the team in achieving daily, monthly and yearly sales targets.
- Monitor individual salesperson performance.
- Follow up on target achievement and identify performance gaps.
- Motivate sales staff to improve customer conversion and sales.
- Assist in preparing daily sales and target reports.
- Support management in implementing sales strategies and promotional activities.

3. Customer Service

- Ensure customers receive a professional and pleasant shopping experience.
- Assist sales staff in handling important customers.
- Handle customer queries and complaints when escalated.
- Coordinate with the concerned department to resolve customer issues.
- Ensure proper follow-up for customer orders and requirements.

4. Team Management

- Supervise and guide showroom sales staff.
- Allocate sections/counters and daily responsibilities.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming and discipline.
- Conduct daily briefings and communicate management instructions.




- Train and coach new employees on showroom procedures and customer service.
- Report staff performance and disciplinary issues to the Showroom Manager/HR.

5. Billing & Other Department Coordination

- Coordinate with billing/cash counter, stock, packing and alteration departments.
- Ensure smooth movement of customers from sales to billing and delivery.
- Coordinate with the warehouse for product requirements.
- Escalate operational issues to the Showroom Manager.

6. Reports & Compliance

- Prepare daily/weekly sales and staff-performance reports.
- Monitor showroom SOP compliance.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
- Support audits, stock checks and management inspections.
- Report operational issues immediately to the Showroom Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Any Degree / Diploma preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in textile, apparel, retail or showroom operations preferred.
- Previous experience supervising a sales team is preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of textile products and retail showroom operations.
- Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
- Leadership and team-management ability.
- Target-oriented approach.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and sales reporting.
- Willingness to work weekends and during festival/peak seasons.

Salary ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
