Key Responsibilities

- DCS / Control Room Operations

- Monitor and control plant process parameters through DCS.

- Ensure operation of reactors, furnaces, feed systems, quench, bag filters and other process equipment within approved operating limits.

- Monitor alarms, trends and deviations and take timely corrective action.

- Maintain shift-wise production and process records.

- Field Operations

- Coordinate with Field Officers/Operators for proper equipment operation and field inspections.

- Ensure correct line-up, valve operation, equipment start-up/shutdown and process changeovers.

- Conduct regular field rounds and verify critical operating conditions.

- Shift Manpower &
- Coordination

- Allocate duties to Field Officers, Operators and other shift manpower.

- Coordinate activities between DCS operators, field operators, maintenance, electrical, instrumentation and laboratory teams.

- Ensure proper shift handover with complete information on plant status, abnormalities and pending jobs.

- Production &

- Process Control

- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining required quality parameters.

- Monitor raw material/feedstock, fuel, air, temperature, pressure and other critical process parameters.

- Identify abnormal process conditions and escalate major deviations to the Production HOD.

- Safety &

- Compliance





- Ensure compliance with plant SOPs, work permits, PPE and EHS requirements.

- Take immediate action during process abnormalities, emergency situations or unsafe conditions.

- Ensure safe coordination with Maintenance/Electrical/Instrumentation teams during breakdown and maintenance activities.

- Reporting &

- Documentation

- Maintain shift logbooks, production reports, abnormality reports and equipment status records.

- Record breakdowns, process deviations, quality issues and corrective actions.

- Ensure proper communication of all significant shift events to the incoming shift and Production HOD.

Key Skills

- Good knowledge of carbon black manufacturing process and plant operations.

- Practical experience in DCS and field operation.

- Ability to manage shift manpower and coordinate with multiple departments.

- Understanding of process safety, troubleshooting and emergency response.

- Good communication, decision-making and shift handover skills.

Experience: Preferably 5–10 years of relevant experience in Carbon Black / Chemical / Petrochemical / Process Manufacturing Plant.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
