Key responsibilities

- Build the requirements-verification matrix and define measurable test methods and evidence records.

- Own EVT, DVT, PVT and pilot-build entry and exit criteria, build plans and defect closure.

- Develop reliability plans for drop, hinge or flex cycling, temperature, charging, battery, ingress, surface wear and service operations.

- Specify functional test, programming, calibration, traceability and end-of-line fixtures.

- Lead failure analysis, root-cause containment, corrective action and regression evidence.

- Audit EMS or ODM, tooling and critical-component suppliers.

- Establish incoming inspection, first-article inspection, control plans, golden samples and change notification.

- Track build yield, rework, scrap, capability and field-return metrics.

- Coordinate pre-compliance and accredited-laboratory testing.

- Maintain release records linking hardware, firmware, software, BOM and manufacturing-process versions.

Required qualifications and evidence

- B.E. or B.Tech in Electronics, Mechanical,



Production, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

- Seven or more years in product validation, NPI, manufacturing engineering or supplier quality.

- Direct ownership of at least one EVT, DVT and PVT or comparable gated product-development cycle.

- Hands-on test planning, fixtures, measurement systems and failure-analysis experience.

- Solid structured problem-solving and supplier corrective-action capability.

Strongly preferred

- Portable electronics, medical devices, automotive electronics or rugged industrial products.

- Battery, EMC or ESD, radio, product-safety and environmental testing.

- Statistical process control, gauge R&R;, DOE and accelerated-life testing.

- Experience with Indian EMS providers and overseas component suppliers.
