Rassense Private Limited is seeking a Senior QHSE Manager to strengthen quality, health, safety, and environment standards across its South region operations. The role will connect food safety controls, workplace safety, audits, training, incident learning, and regulatory compliance with daily site execution. Based in Chennai, this position will work with site teams, management, vendors, clients, laboratories, and regulatory stakeholders. The successful candidate will help make QHSE requirements practical, measurable, and consistent across food production and service environments. About the Role

Own QHSE performance across the South region, with Chennai as the base location. You will oversee food safety, workplace safety, audits, training, incident investigations, laboratory coordination, certification support, and corrective actions. The role requires regular engagement with operational sites and the ability to translate policies, standards, and regulations into practical controls.

Success will be measured through improved compliance, timely closure of findings, stronger training completion, better incident learning, reliable documentation, and consistent implementation of HACCP, HIRA, and ISO 22000 processes. You will also lead awareness initiatives that reinforce safe, hygienic, and responsible operating practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Own monthly QHSE MIS reporting for workplace and food safety incidents, identifying trends and root causes that help management reduce recurrence and improve regional risk visibility.
- Manage daily and weekly reports, management reviews, corrective actions, and snag-list closure so site and client commitments remain visible, documented, and completed on time.
- Prepare training matrices, modules,



and calendars while coordinating new-joiner induction, safety orientation, and refresher training across regional sites.
- Lead internal QHSE and vendor audits, coordinate food and water laboratory testing, and ensure findings are communicated and addressed effectively.
- Conduct HACCP and HIRA assessments, support ISO 22000 implementation, and coordinate ERC and HRC certification requirements with FSSAI.
- Organize awareness activities such as National Safety Day, Food Safety Day, and Global Handwashing Day to strengthen safety and hygiene behaviors.

Essential Skills & Technologies

- Working knowledge of QHSE systems, HACCP, HIRA, food safety controls, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, internal audits, vendor audits, and ISO 22000.
- Experience with FSSAI requirements, certification coordination, laboratory testing, compliance documentation, corrective actions, and client-facing QHSE communication.
- Strong reporting, presentation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical risks clearly to operational teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, MIS reporting, and structured review mechanisms used to track trends, training, findings, and action closure.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills, including the ability to manage multiple sites, deadlines, audits, incidents, and regulatory deliverables.

Additional Plus

- Experience managing QHSE programs across multiple food industry sites or regional operations, with evidence of improving compliance, audit outcomes, or incident performance.
- Familiarity with CRM or workflow tools used to track actions, stakeholders, follow-ups, and service or compliance commitments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays,



and site visits when operational requirements or incident response demands it.

What You'll Bring

- A postgraduate qualification in Microbiology, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline, with at least five years of relevant food industry QHSE experience.
- Ownership of regional standards, corrective actions, audit readiness, incident learning, and certification support, with the discipline to follow issues through to closure.
- Practical field judgment to balance production realities with food safety, workplace safety, legal, certification, and client requirements.
- Clear communication and influencing skills for management reviews, incident reports, training sessions, audit findings, client updates, and cross-functional coordination.
- Confidence working with reports, laboratory results, inspection evidence, training records, and trend data to prioritize actions with the greatest safety and business impact.
