Pet Groomer – Job Roles & Responsibilities

1. Pet Grooming & Hygiene

- Perform bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, and coat trimming.
- Conduct breed-specific grooming and styling.
- Perform nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw-pad cleaning, and hygiene care.
- Maintain proper hygiene and grooming standards for every pet.

2. Pet Handling & Safety

- Handle dogs and cats safely and calmly during grooming.
- Identify signs of stress, anxiety, aggression, skin irritation, or abnormalities.
- Follow proper pet restraint and safety procedures.
- Immediately report any injury, illness, or unusual observation to the veterinarian/manager.

3. Customer Service

- Understand the pet parent's grooming requirements and preferences.
- Recommend suitable grooming frequency and services.
- Explain grooming procedures and after-care instructions to pet parents.
- Maintain professional and friendly communication.

4. Health & Hygiene Support

- Check for visible skin conditions, ticks, fleas, wounds, lumps, or other abnormalities during grooming.
- Escalate health concerns to the veterinary team.
- Follow infection-control and sanitation protocols.

5. Equipment & Workplace Management





- Clean and sanitize grooming tables, tubs, tools, and equipment after every appointment.
- Maintain grooming tools and report damaged equipment.
- Ensure grooming areas are clean, organized, and protected.

6. Business & Revenue Responsibilities

- Promote appropriate add-on services such as de-shedding, spa treatments, dental hygiene, nail care, and tick/flea care.
- Encourage repeat grooming appointments.
- Maintain accurate grooming records and appointment details.
- Support customer retention and positive reviews.

- Number of grooming appointments completed

- Average grooming bill value
- Repeat customer percentage

- Add-on service conversion

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
