Purpose of the Role

Accountable for the Tryout, Proving and Homeline Die proving execution. Responsible for SPQDCME of work area and workforce discipline and deliverables. To be aligned with division level and plant level initiatives

Job Responsibility

- Proving of sheet metal dies
- Study of Simulation reports
- Execution of quality loops for part quality maturation
- Ensuring Quality standards of dies and Panels as per customer requirement.
- Trial and proving out dies at the Homeline and completion of panel and die signoff at the customers end.
- Ability to work on dies and get the required work done on dies to ensure that the dies perform in the required manner so as to deliver die and panel quality as per the customers requirements.
- Compliance to the Standards on safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale and setting, health.
- To set challenging goals for self to improve the performance of the division.
- Handling a team of blue collar workforce to deliver safely the departments objectives on a monthly basis.
- Ensuring 5S




- Liasing with customer (QA) at internal and external level and all internal departments of PE to ensure delivery.
- Participate in different division level/plant level/ organization level initiatives.
- Knowledge of TPM, PM, CBM, TBM & Kaizen.
- Updation of SQPDCME requirements of the dept
- Driving SDT initiative
- Make improvements related to work and give feedback to the required agencies to improve the working environment

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education: B Tech / BE or equivalent preferably in Mechanical Engg
- Experience: 5 years preferably in the field of sheet metal dies

Skills & Competencies

- Analytical and problem solving abilities
- Demonstrates agility and risk taking ability.
- Has good communication skill to communicate at different levels such as customers.
- Good team player to ensure the performance level
- Knowledge of sheet metal die working and tryout.
