Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join EPAM's engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable applications using Java and modern backend technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
- Work with databases and write efficient SQL queries.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.




- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Work in an Agile development environment.
- Contribute to performance, scalability, security, and reliability improvements.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Core Java.
- Good understanding of Java 8+ features, including Streams and Lambda expressions.
- Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
- Experience developing REST APIs.
- Good understanding of OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java fundamentals.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Good understanding of Microservices architecture is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have
- Experience with React.js or Angular for full-stack positions.
- Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with JUnit/Mockito and automated testing.
- Understanding of system design and design patterns.
