Optiv Consulting [formerly part of Optiv Security] affiliate company Vobis Astra AI is hiring SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE LEADER with 10–12+ years of experience to build and operate the company's corporate IT, cloud, identity and technology infrastructure from the ground up. This is a founding IT infrastructure role at a rapidly growing AI company with Fortune 500 clients. We are looking for you if you have 10–12+ years of experience across infrastructure, IT and cloud operations, with hands-on depth in several of: AWS/Azure/GCP, Google Workspace/M365, Okta/Entra, VDI, GitHub, Terraform, endpoint management, SSO/OIDC/SAML, networking/DNS, secrets management, CI/CD, observability and security controls. You have demonstrated experience building technology infrastructure in an early-stage or rapidly scaling organization.

nYou're comfortable owning a wide surface area — IT, identity, cloud, security posture and vendor/spend management — before there's a team to delegate to. You have a bias for action and are willing to make pragmatic tradeoffs to unblock a fast-moving company, while still building toward compliance-ready standards (SOC 2 / ISO 27001) as the company matures. You can operate independently with minimal existing process, and you're motivated by building the process rather than waiting for someone else to define it.

nRESPONSIBILITIES

nCorporate IT & Employee Technology:

- Design and establish the company's corporate IT environment, including email, collaboration tools, endpoint management and employee technology provisioning.

- Build automated employee onboarding and offboarding processes that scale with headcount growth.

- Establish laptop provisioning, endpoint security, patching and device-management standards
n

nIdentity, Access & AI Platforms

n

- Own company-wide identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, RBAC and privileged access administration.
n
- Establish and administer enterprise AI platforms including Claude, OpenAI/ChatGPT, Gemini,



Copilot and other approved AI tools, ensuring secure and governed rollout across the org.

nCloud & Infrastructure

n

- Build and maintain AWS/Azure/GCP cloud organizations, accounts, networking, IAM and foundational infrastructure.
n
- Establish infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform/OpenTofu or equivalent, so infrastructure is versioned, reviewable and repeatable rather than click-ops.
n
- Own GitHub organization administration and foundational developer tooling in partnership with engineering. Implement secure management of credentials, API keys, certificates and secrets.
n
- Establish centralized logging, monitoring, alerting and infrastructure observability.
n
- Implement backup, disaster-recovery and business-continuity capabilities.

nGovernance, Spend & Security

- Establish SaaS procurement, license management and technology inventory processes.
n
- Manage cloud and SaaS spend, budgets and FinOps controls as the company scales.
n
- Establish baseline security controls and support SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness as compliance requirements emerge.

- Develop policies, standards and documentation so infrastructure doesn't depend on tribal knowledge.

nTeam Building

- Build the infrastructure/IT team as company requirements grow, hiring and mentoring engineers once scale justifies it — not before.

nWe'd favor a builder/operator over someone who spent the last 10 years administering a mature Fortune 500 workplace. This role is for someone who is energized by greenfield problems, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to be hands-on with the keyboard well past the point most leaders at this level stop being.

nNice-to-Haves - Experience standing up governance and access controls for enterprise AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Gemini, Copilot). Prior experience taking a company through SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 readiness. Experience building out an infrastructure/IT function and hiring its first engineers. FinOps experience managing multi-cloud and SaaS spend at a growing company
