Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Palo Alto L2 Support Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Palo Alto Networks firewalls and will be responsible for providing high-level technical support and troubleshooting for our clients. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for Palo Alto Networks firewalls, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex network security problems, providing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance firewall configurations and security policies.
- Document support processes, solutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of Palo Alto firewalls in various environments.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and updates in Palo Alto Networks technologies.
- Provide training and support to junior team members as needed.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving firewall-related issues.
- Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) are a plus.
- Experience with other security technologies (IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Experience in a customer-facing support role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in network security support, specifically with Palo Alto Networks products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
