Job Summary:

nDesign and develop SPMs, Test Rigs, and Automation Systems , including 3D models, drawings, and BOMs, while ensuring cost-effective solutions, timely project delivery, and support for manufacturing and assembly activities.

nKey Responsibilities

nDesign & Development

n

- Design assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components for Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), Test Rigs, and Automation Systems.
n
- Perform design calculations, validate functionality, and ensure compliance with design standards and specifications.
n

nProject Schedule Adherence

n

n
- Complete design activities as per the project plan and agreed timelines.
n
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely release of design deliverables.
n

nCost-Effective Design

n

n
- Develop optimized designs that meet functional requirements while maintaining target costs.
n
- Support value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
n

nManufacturing & Assembly Support

n

n
- Provide technical solutions for manufacturing and assembly-related issues.
n
- Work closely with production and assembly teams to resolve design concerns and improve product performance.
n

nDrawing & Documentation Control

n

n
- Prepare, maintain,



and update design drawings, BOMs, and engineering documents.
n
- Ensure compliance with company standards for drawing storage, revision control, and documentation.
n

nFunctional Competencies

nCAD Design Skills

n

n
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, 3D Modelling, and Design Simulation tools.
n

nSPM / Test Rig / Automation Design Knowledge

n

n
- Knowledge of bearings, ball screws, linear guides, rotary tables, spindle units, machine structures, conveyors, transfer systems, and robotics.
n
- Ability to design cost-effective solutions and troubleshoot engineering issues.
n

nManufacturing Process Knowledge

n

n
- Understanding of machining processes, fabrication, tooling, fixtures, assembly practices, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
n

nQualification & Experience

n

n
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
n
- Relevant experience in the design and development of SPMs, Test Rigs, and Automation Systems.
n
- Robust problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional coordination skills.
