Key responsibilities

- Build and optimise the device application for reading, handwriting, note association and retrieval.

- Engineer the digital-ink pipeline from timestamped stylus events to immediate rendering, durable storage and replay.

- Minimise perceived stroke latency, ghosting, unnecessary refresh and power consumption.

- Implement palm rejection, mode controls, error recovery and preservation of original ink.

- Integrate PDF or ePub or approved content rendering without silently reflowing protected content.

- Design robust offline-first storage, indexing, backup and synchronisation behaviour.

- Integrate local recognition or mentoring through versioned interfaces while preserving user work when recognition fails.

- Profile memory, CPU, storage, display refresh and whole-device power.

- Build automated tests using recorded pen traces and representative document workloads.

- Work with platform firmware on reliable APIs, diagnostics and update compatibility.

Required qualifications

- B.E. or B.Tech in CSE,



ECE or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

- Seven or more years building performance-sensitive applications for embedded or mobile devices.

- Robust C++ and one suitable embedded UI stack such as Qt or QML.

- Experience with event pipelines, persistent data models, offline operation and performance profiling.

- Evidence of shipping and maintaining a real device application.

Strongly preferred

- E-paper waveform or refresh behaviour and partial-update optimisation.

- Stylus, touch, digital ink, handwriting, graphics or document-rendering products.

- Wayland or DRM, PDF rendering and accessibility.

- Secure local storage, conflict-tolerant synchronisation and device-management integration.

- Tamil or Indic text shaping and multilingual document rendering.
