Crypto in your wallet. Coffee in your hand. Nothing in between.

That's Swipeo (swipeo.io) — a live, Visa-powered prepaid card platform. Users top up with BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC or fiat; get a virtual card the moment they sign up (or a premium metal physical); add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay; and spend at 100M+ merchants worldwide. Conversion happens their way — auto-convert at the moment of payment, or hold crypto and convert when the rate is right. Freeze, rotate numbers, set per-merchant limits, spin up single-use cards — all in real time.

The product is built and in users' hands. Now we need the engineer who takes it from launched to unmissable — owning the architecture, scaling the engine, and leading the team through our next phase of growth. This isn't a zero-to-one build. It's the harder, more interesting part: one to one hundred.

The Stack You'll Inherit

Go on the backend, React on the web, Flutter for iOS and Android. Up-to-date, clean, and shipping — no decade-old monolith lurking in the basement. You'll set the technical direction across all three.

What You'll Actually Do

- Own the platform architecture. Take charge of Swipeo's Go services, React web app, and Flutter mobile apps — evolve the architecture, pay down the right debt, and make the calls on what we build versus buy as we scale.
- Scale the spend engine — our crown jewel. Just-in-time funding: a card authorization arrives, we check the balance, lock a rate, convert, and approve — in sub-second latency. You'll harden this path for 10x the volume: latency budgets, failure modes, rate-lock logic, and graceful degradation (because a declined coffee is a lost customer).
- Deepen the wallet & custody layer. Per-user deposit addresses with real-time confirmation tracking are live — you'll expand chain and asset coverage, tighten hot/cold segregation, and level up our institutional custody / MPC integrations (Fireblocks, BitGo, or equivalent).




- Extend the card experience. Instant freeze, number rotation, per-merchant and per-day limits, single-use virtuals, and push notifications on every authorization are in production. You'll drive the roadmap beyond them — deeper issuer-processor integrations, new markets, new card capabilities.
- Make compliance a superpower. Tiered KYC, AML transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, Travel Rule, and PCI DSS — strengthened as we grow into new jurisdictions, built into the platform rather than bolted on after the audit.
- Run treasury & reconciliation. Stablecoin and fiat float, exchange/OTC liquidity for conversions, transparent FX with no hidden markup, and penny-perfect reconciliation across on-chain ledgers, internal balances, and card network settlement files.
- Lead the crew. Grow and mentor the engineering team, set the security and code-review culture, and be the technical voice in the room with custody partners, card networks, and regulators.

What You Bring The non-negotiables:

- Deep, hands-on crypto expertise — wallet architecture, private key management, multi-chain integrations, stablecoins (USDT/USDC), transaction finality, and the operational realities of moving digital assets safely at scale.
- Experience scaling a live crypto payments, crypto card, or exchange-grade platform — you've owned a production system where user funds lived on-chain and got spent in the real world, and you've grown it without breaking it.
- Strong Go expertise for backend services, plus enough working fluency in React and Flutter to lead, review, and unblock a full-stack team.
- Card-side fluency: issuer-processor integrations,



real-time authorization flows (ISO 8583 or modern processor APIs), and just-in-time funding models.
- 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years leading teams on fintech, crypto, or payments systems.
- A security-first reflex — threat modeling, key ceremony discipline, and the healthy paranoia of someone who knows what's at stake when the assets are bearer instruments.
- Working knowledge of crypto regulation across our markets — VARA (Dubai), FCA (UK), MiCA (EU), and FATF Travel Rule requirements.

Bonus points for:

- Direct integration experience with Fireblocks, BitGo, Copper, or similar MPC custody platforms
- Building FX/pricing engines, liquidity routing, or exchange connectivity (CEX APIs, OTC desks)
- Smart contract development or on-chain settlement experience (EVM/Solidity)
- Adjacent product surfaces: rewards, P2P transfers, swaps, or crypto-backed lending
- Taking a crypto product through security audits, penetration tests, or licensing processes
