Senior Design Engineer – SPM &

- Automation1. SPM Machine Design &
- Development

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) based on customer requirements.

- Prepare complete mechanical concepts, layouts, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.

- Develop automation mechanisms, fixtures, tooling, conveyors, and material-handling systems.

1. CAD &
- Engineering

- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks/AutoCAD or equivalent software.

- Perform design calculations, component selection, and tolerance analysis.

- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, installation, and maintenance.

1. Automation System Integration

- Design mechanical systems for pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, motor, and sensor-based automation.

- Coordinate with PLC, electrical, and controls engineers for complete machine integration.

- Develop solutions for indexing, pick-and-place, assembly, inspection, and material-transfer applications.

1. Project Execution &
- Technical Support

- Lead design activities from concept development through machine commissioning.

- Coordinate with production, procurement, assembly, and project teams.

- Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning.

1. Vendor &
- Component Management

- Select and specify standard components such as bearings,



gearboxes, motors, pneumatic components, linear guides, sensors, and actuators.

- Coordinate with vendors for technical specifications, drawings, and component requirements.

1. Testing &
- Design Validation

- Review machine performance and identify design-related issues during trials.

- Implement design modifications and corrective actions to improve reliability and productivity.

- Ensure machines meet functional, safety, quality, and customer requirements.

1. Team Leadership &
- Documentation

- Guide junior design engineers and review their designs and drawings.

- Maintain design standards, revision control, BOMs, and technical documentation.

- Support continuous improvement and standardization of SPM and automation designs.

Qualification &

- Experience

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- 5–10 years of experience in SPM, industrial automation, machine design, or special-purpose machinery.

- Solid experience in SolidWorks/AutoCAD and mechanical design.

- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, pneumatic systems, automation mechanisms, and machine assembly.

- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and project execution skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
