Senior Business Analyst - Enterprise AI

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior Business Analysts to support the delivery of enterprise AI and technology transformation initiatives within a highly regulated environment.

The role will sit at the intersection of business, technology, data and governance, helping define how AI-enabled solutions should operate, what data they require, how they integrate with existing systems, and what controls are needed to ensure they are secure, compliant and fit for purpose.

You will work with stakeholders across multiple business and technology functions to translate complex business needs into clear, implementable requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead requirements gathering for enterprise AI, data and technology initiatives.
- Work with business stakeholders to define problems, desired outcomes, use cases and success criteria.
- Facilitate workshops across multiple stakeholder groups where requirements or priorities may conflict.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Define requirements for solutions that aggregate and consume data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Map data sources, integrations, dependencies, access requirements and information flows.
- Work closely with architecture, engineering, security, data and compliance teams to ensure requirements are technically feasible and appropriately controlled.
- Define AI-specific requirements including accuracy, transparency, data quality, security, governance and human oversight.
- Produce process maps, user stories, use cases,



acceptance criteria, requirements specifications and traceability documentation.
- Identify gaps, risks, assumptions and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support solution design, testing, UAT and implementation.
- Ensure appropriate traceability between business objectives, requirements, solution design and delivered outcomes.

Required Experience

- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within complex enterprise technology or transformation environments .
- Proven experience gathering and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and resolving conflicting requirements.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working on solutions involving multiple systems, integrations or complex data flows.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, data mapping and enterprise application environments.
- Experience translating business requirements into implementable technical requirements.
- Strong understanding of data security, access controls and information governance.
- Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps,



requirements documentation and traceability artefacts.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

- Experience delivering AI, GenAI, LLM or enterprise search solutions .
- Experience integrating platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, SharePoint or other enterprise applications.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data across multiple systems.
- Experience within life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, clinical research or another highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of data privacy, AI governance, validation and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with GDPR, GxP, computer system validation or similar regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting AI solutions involving retrieval, search, summarisation or insight generation.

Profile We are looking for strong senior Business Analysts who can operate comfortably between business and technical teams .

You should be capable of taking an initially broad AI use case, understanding the underlying business problem, identifying the required data and system dependencies, and turning that into a explicit set of requirements that engineering, architecture, security and governance teams can actually deliver against.

This is not simply a documentation role. The successful candidate will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify gaps and ensure that proposed AI solutions are both useful to the business and technically, securely and regulatorily viable.
