nRole Description

nWe’re looking for a Backend Engineer (3-5 years experience) to join our early-stage startup in Bangalore. You’ll work directly with the founding team to design, develop, and scale our core platform — blending technology, curiosity, and customer understanding.

nThis isn’t a typical corporate role — it’s for someone who loves building things from scratch, thrives in ambiguity, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty to understand how our customers actually work. You’ll be a thinker who asks why before what and how, and who takes ownership from concept to deployment.

nResponsibilities

- Build and maintain backend APIs and micro services for core business workflows.

- Design and manage databases and data models for real-world use cases.

- Able to build scalable systems
n
- Handle asynchronous flows using queues/events where required.
n
- Ensure data correctness, consistency, and reliability.
n
- Integrate with external systems (vendors, payments, IoT, third-party APIs).
n
- Debug production issues and improve system stability.
n
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
n
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to ship features.

nQualifications

- 4–6 years of experience in backend development.
n
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and backend architecture.
n
- Experience with at least one backend language/framework (Java / Spring Boot, Node.js, or similar).

- Valuable understanding of SQL and basic data modeling.
n
- Familiarity with message queues or background jobs is a plus.
n
- Ability to debug issues and work independently.
n
- Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
