About the Role

Suroskie is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, taxation, statutory compliances, financial reporting, and related finance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in GST, TDS, taxation, reconciliations, and compliance, preferably within a D2C/E-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely accounting closure.
- Handle GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, input tax credit reconciliation, and related filings.
- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, returns, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely completion of all applicable statutory and tax compliances.
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable regulatory compliances.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, MIS, P&L;, balance sheet, and expense reports.
- Perform bank, ledger, vendor, customer, and payment reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Manage accounting for D2C/E-commerce sales, including marketplace settlements, payment gateways, COD, returns, refunds, and related reconciliations.
- Reconcile sales and settlements from platforms/payment gateways with books of accounts.
- Coordinate with CA, auditors, consultants, banks, and statutory authorities whenever required.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.




- Assist in audits and provide required financial and accounting documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company accounting policies.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective actions.
- Support the Director with financial analysis, reports, and accounting-related information as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com) or equivalent; M. Com/CA Inter is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliances.
- Experience in D2C / E-commerce / FMCG / Beauty & Personal Care industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with D2C sales, marketplace settlements, payment gateways, returns, refunds, and reconciliations will be highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting and compliance activities.
