Position: Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manager

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Manesar, Haryana

Experience Required: 8–10 years in supply chain management within defense/aerospace/UAV manufacturing

About the Role The SCM Manager will lead sourcing, procurement, vendor development, and inventory management functions for a defense and UAV manufacturing operation. The role requires strong command over long-lead-time procurement, indigenization initiatives, and management of critical, often import-restricted, components and sub-systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end supply chain planning including demand forecasting, procurement scheduling, and inventory optimization for production programs.
- Develop and manage a qualified vendor base for mechanical, electronic, and specialized UAV/avionics components, ensuring compliance with defense quality standards.
- Drive vendor development and indigenization initiatives in line with Make in India / Atmanirbhar Bharat defense procurement priorities.
- Manage procurement of long-lead and import items, including coordination on export licenses, end-user certificates, and customs clearances where applicable.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency and supply continuity.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for on-time delivery, inventory turns,



vendor quality, and cost savings.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Program Management to align material availability with production schedules.
- Implement and maintain SCM processes/systems (ERP-based procurement, inventory control, and supplier scorecards).
- Ensure compliance with defense procurement regulations, DPP/DAP guidelines, and internal audit requirements.
- Lead, train, and manage the SCM team including buyers, planners, and store executives.

Required Qualification & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; PG diploma/certification in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in supply chain/procurement roles within defense, aerospace, or UAV manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of defense procurement frameworks, vendor qualification processes, and import/export compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/SCM systems and inventory management practices.
- Solid negotiation, vendor management, and team leadership skills.
- Experience sourcing UAV-specific components (avionics, composites, propulsion, payloads).
- Familiarity with DAP (Defence Acquisition Procedure) and related defense procurement policies.
