Job Purpose

This role includes SAP Lead owns the strategy, delivery, and steady-state support of the organisation's SAP landscape and broader enterprise applications portfolio. The role leads a team of SAP practice/module leads and enterprise application team members, ensuring SAP and other enterprise systems are reliable, secure, and continuously aligned to evolving business needs across the group.

Role & responsibilities

- Define and drive the SAP and enterprise applications strategy/roadmap in alignment with overall business and group objectives.
- Own the end-to-end SAP landscape functional modules, technical/basis layer, and integrations spanning implementation, upgrades, and steady-state support.
- Govern the enterprise application portfolio, prioritising new requirements, enhancements, and rationalisation/retirement of legacy systems.
- Own relationships with SAP, system integrators, and enterprise application vendors, including licensing, AMS contracts, and implementation partners.
- Ensure the security, compliance, and audit-readiness of the SAP/application landscape in coordination with the Network & Cybersecurity and Data Governance & Audit teams.




- Own the SAP/enterprise application budget, including licensing costs, AMS spend, and project investments, ensuring optimal utilisation.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives leveraging SAP and enterprise application capabilities such as automation, analytics, and process digitisation.
- Ensure business continuity for critical SAP/enterprise systems in coordination with the Infrastructure & Cloud and Application Support/Backup-DR teams.
- Standardise SAP and application delivery processes (change management, testing, release management) across group entities and sites.
- Provide periodic reporting and dashboards to the SGM IT and business leadership on SAP/application landscape health, ongoing projects, and risks.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: B.E./B.Tech/MCA; MBA preferred. SAP certifications (S/4HANA or relevant modules) strongly preferred.
- Experience: 12-16 years in SAP and enterprise applications, including at least 4-5 years leading SAP teams/practices in a managerial capacity.
