Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and target-oriented Sales Manager – Events to drive business growth through recent client acquisition, relationship management, and conversion of event opportunities.
The role involves generating leads, understanding client requirements, preparing proposals and commercial quotations, negotiating with clients, and ensuring the successful conversion of event enquiries into confirmed business.
The ideal candidate should have strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a good understanding of the events, weddings, corporate events, MICE, exhibitions, and experiential marketing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, wedding, social, MICE, exhibitions, and other event segments.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, industry events, databases, and other relevant channels.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Research potential clients, organisations, brands, and decision-makers relevant to the event business.
2. Client Acquisition & Conversion
- Handle incoming event enquiries and respond within defined timelines.
- Understand client requirements, event objectives, budget, timelines, audience profile, and expectations.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, site visits, and discussions as required.
- Develop suitable event solutions and proposals based on client requirements.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and drive enquiries towards closure.
- Negotiate commercials, scope, timelines, and terms within the approved company guidelines.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed projects and achieve assigned sales targets.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Develop strong and long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain regular communication with key clients and identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
- Understand client feedback and coordinate internally to ensure expectations are appropriately addressed.
- Maintain a professional relationship with corporate decision-makers, event organisers, wedding clients, agencies, and other stakeholders.
4. Proposal & Commercial Management
- Prepare and coordinate proposals, presentations, quotations, and commercial submissions.
- Ensure proposals accurately reflect the client's requirements and agreed scope.
- Coordinate with the production, operations, creative, design, and finance teams for accurate costing and feasibility.
- Ensure commercial proposals are shared within the agreed timeline.
- Maintain proper documentation of quotations, revisions, negotiations, and client confirmations.
5. Sales Pipeline & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all leads, opportunities, proposals, follow-ups, and closures.
- Track the status of every opportunity from initial enquiry to final closure.
- Submit regular sales reports covering:
- New leads generated
- Qualified leads
- Client meetings
- Proposals submitted
- Follow-ups
- Negotiations
- Confirmed projects
- Lost opportunities
- Revenue generated
- Expected pipeline revenue
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
6. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with the Operations, Production, Creative, Design, Finance, and other relevant teams to ensure smooth execution after confirmation.
- Conduct proper project handover to the concerned internal team after sales closure.
- Ensure all agreed commercial terms, deliverables, timelines, and client requirements are clearly communicated internally.
- Support the operations team during client discussions whenever required.

Performance will be evaluated based on measurable parameters including:
- Monthly and annual sales/revenue achievement.
- Number of qualified leads generated.
- Lead-to-meeting conversion ratio.
- Meeting-to-proposal conversion ratio.
- Proposal-to-closure conversion ratio.
- Number and value of confirmed events.
- New client acquisition.
- Repeat business and client referrals.
- Average deal value.
- Sales pipeline value.
- Timely follow-up and CRM/reporting compliance.
- Collection coordination and payment follow-up, wherever applicable.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in sales/business development, preferably within the events, weddings, hospitality, MICE, media, advertising, experiential marketing, or related industries.
- Candidates with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing event-related business will be preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
