Role & responsibilities

- Handle sales of fancy shape diamonds and gemstones to existing and new clients.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with jewellers, diamond dealers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and other B2B clients.

- Understand customer requirements related to shape, size, carat weight, colour, clarity, cut, certification, and budget.

- Present and recommend suitable diamonds/gemstones based on client requirements.

- Generate new leads and identify potential business opportunities through calls, meetings, references, exhibitions, and market networking.

- Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales while maintaining company margins.

- Follow up with prospective and existing clients to convert enquiries into sales.

- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates on available inventory, pricing, and current collections.

- Coordinate with the purchase, inventory, grading/certification, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.

- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, sales orders, customer interactions, and follow-ups.





- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, competitor pricing, and demand for fancy-shaped diamonds and gemstones.

- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.

- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction.

- Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, client meetings, and other business development activities as required.

- Ensure proper follow-up for payments and outstanding receivables in coordination with the accounts team.

- Maintain confidentiality of customer information, pricing, inventory, and company business data.

Qualification & Experience

- Qualification: Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in Gemology, Diamond Grading, Jewellery, or a related field will be an advantage.

- Experience: 25 years of experience in diamond/gemstone/jewellery sales, preferably with experience in fancy-shaped diamonds.

- Freshers with relevant gemology/diamond knowledge and strong communication skills may also be considered.
