Key Responsibilities a. Develop, deliver, and oversee induction and training programs for new employees and contract workers.

b. Conduct fire and safety training sessions for both employees and contract workers.

c. Regularly making frequent plant visits and conduct plant safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions and actions.

d. Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all, highlight cases who are not following through rigorous assessment and monitoring.

e. Respond swiftly to emergencies, coordinating plant-wide emergency protocols.

f. Manage accident, incident, and near-miss reporting, leading investigations and recommending corrective actions.

g. Regularly monitor and inspect safety equipment like CO2 flooding systems, breathing apparatus, fire alarms, safety cabinets etc.

h. Issue, monitor, and maintain work permits while keeping accurate records.

i. Install required safety signage throughout the plant premises.

j. Ensure regular maintenance and inspection of fire extinguishers, hydrants, and foam flooding systems.

k. Actively participate in mock drills, safety committee meetings, and discussions on safety issues.

l. Maintain and update EHS records, including checklists, policies, emergency plans, risk assessments, and regulatory forms.

m. Organize events such as the National Safety Week and other initiatives to promote safety awareness.

n. Prepare PRQs and gate passes for material movement, ensuring safety compliance.

Competencies / Skills a. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices.

b. Excellent communication to effectively convey safety information.

c. Analytical mindset for identifying risks, conducting investigations, and proposing solutions.

Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety culture.

e. Problem-solving acumen to address safety concerns promptly.

Qualification and Experiences a. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field with minimum 6 years of exp for Executive / 4 years of exp. for sr. officer / 2 years of exp. for officer roles within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

b. Skilled certifications in Occupational Health and Safety.

c. Experience in conducting safety training programs and managing safety-related projects if essential for Executive grade and preferred for Officer / Sr. Officer level

Mandatory a. In-depth understanding of safety regulations, standards, and compliance.

b. Strong experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and protocols.

c. Demonstrated leadership in incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.

d. Proficiency in using safety equipment and conducting safety training.

e. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

f. Sound knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹445,000.00 per year
