We are looking for an experienced RO Plant Operator / Utility Operator to manage water treatment and utility operations at our WHO-GMP certified manufacturing plant in Panchkula. In this role, you will be responsible for running the RO/DM water generation and distribution systems, carrying out routine monitoring, handling basic preventive maintenance, and ensuring uninterrupted utility supply for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Water Plant Operation: Operate and monitor RO/DM water and purified water generation, storage, and distribution systems as per standard operating procedures (SOP).

- Routine Parameters &
- Testing:

Regularly check and record water quality parameters such as pH, conductivity, TDS, flow rate, and pressure across generation loops.

- Plant Maintenance &

- Regeneration:

Perform timely chemical dosing, backwashing, media regeneration, cartridge filter replacements, and preventive maintenance on water treatment units.

- Utility Equipment Handling: Assist in the routine operation and upkeep of plant utilities including compressed air, chiller, cooling tower, and boiler/steam generation systems.

- Sanitisation &

- Cleaning:

Carry out scheduled thermal or chemical sanitisation of purified water storage tanks and loop lines according to validation protocols.

- Documentation &

- Logbooks:

Maintain complete and error-free operational logbooks, parameter tracking sheets, and equipment status records in line with GDP and ALCOA+ principles.

- Breakdown Handling:



Identify abnormal operating noises, leakages, or pressure drops quickly to minimise downtime and support maintenance technicians during breakdown maintenance.

- Cross-Department Coordination: Coordinate closely with Production, Quality Control (QC sampling), and Engineering teams to ensure continuous utility availability.

Requirements

- Experience: 4–5 years of hands-on experience in RO / Purified Water / Utility operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

- Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent technical background.

- Skills:

- Strong operational knowledge of RO/DM water systems, dosing pumps, softeners, and loop circulation

- Hands-on familiarity with general utility equipment including compressed air, chiller, and pumps

- Familiarity with pharma documentation, logbook maintenance, and cGMP / Schedule M requirements

- Basic understanding of water sampling coordination and testing instruments (pH meter, conductivity meter)

- Personal Traits:

- Disciplined, safety-conscious, and attentive to plant parameters

- Robust troubleshooting ability and prompt response to plant alerts

- Comfortable working in rotating shifts on the shop floor
