- We are seeking an experienced Retail Supply Chain Analytics Consultant to identify, prioritize, design, and deliver high-value retail and supply chain simulation use cases across planning, replenishment, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, category management, and store operations.
- The ideal candidate will combine strong consulting, analytics, retail domain expertise, and stakeholder management skills to drive measurable business outcomes through simulation, optimization, and data-driven decision making.

Essential Job Functions:

- Identify and prioritize high-value retail and supply chain challenges across commercial, demand and supply planning, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, and store operations using value potential, feasibility, and speed-to-impact criteria.
- Lead structured discovery sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to diagnose root causes, develop hypotheses, define trade-offs, business constraints, decision variables, and success measures.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into clearly defined simulation use cases and implementation-ready work plans.
- Define simulation scenarios, assumptions, policy levers, constraints, inputs, outputs, KPIs, and measurement frameworks.
- Analyze retail and supply chain data to establish performance baselines, identify trends, test hypotheses, and quantify business impact.
- Evaluate and optimize key business outcomes including product availability, inventory levels, waste reduction, operational costs, margins, and customer service performance.
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to validate data quality, availability, modeling assumptions, system constraints, and business rules.
- Lead stakeholder engagements across business, technology, analytics, and product teams by facilitating workshops, driving alignment, and managing competing priorities.
- Develop executive-ready deliverables including business cases, analytical findings, recommendations, executive presentations, implementation roadmaps, and value realization plans.
- Support execution of simulation solutions by validating outputs, refining scenarios, reviewing business results, and tracking realized value.
- Use retail simulations and customer, sales,



and market data to forecast impacts of assortment, space, and category decisions.
- Evaluate range optimization, assortment strategies, store layouts, shelf-space allocation, category performance, sales growth, and profit improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain data-driven space plans and planograms to optimize product visibility, inventory productivity, and store performance.
- Collaborate with merchandising and supply chain teams to align assortment decisions with inventory, replenishment, and seasonal demand requirements.
- Design and develop simulation models to assess the impact of assortment changes, store layouts, space allocation, and demand variations.

Qualifications:

- Relevant consulting and industry experience in retail, grocery, food & beverage, supply chain, planning, procurement, logistics, category management, or store operations.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end retail value chain including planning, forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, merchandising, and store operations.
- Excellent structured problem-solving capabilities with experience translating ambiguous business problems into executable analytical solutions.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience performing scenario analysis, root-cause analysis, KPI measurement, and business impact assessments.
- Proven ability to work with large, complex, and imperfect datasets to derive actionable business insights.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and business executives.
- Excellent presentation, communication, storytelling, and executive reporting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
- Strong focus on measurable business outcomes, value realization, and continuous improvement.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Advanced degree such as MSc or MBA preferred.




- At least 5 years of grocery retail experience focused on planning, planograms, simulation, category management, merchandising, or store operations.

Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and mathematical modeling using Python, R, or SAS.
- Experience with simulation and optimization tools such as PuLP, Gurobi, SimPy, or equivalent frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Solver, Pivot Tables, and VBA macros.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with retail space planning and planogram tools such as JDA, Blue Yonder, Nielsen Spaceman, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience using simulation and optimization techniques for inventory, assortment, demand planning, replenishment, logistics, and store operations.
