K.J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre, a 550-bedded medical college and hospital in Sion, Mumbai, is hiring Resident Medical Officers for its Maternity Ward (Obstetrics & Gynaecology).

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage admitted antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology patients in the maternity ward
- Monitor patients in labour and assist consultants during normal deliveries and LSCS
- Handle obstetric and gynaecological emergencies and escalate to consultants on time
- Carry out daily ward rounds and follow the treatment plans set by consultants
- Maintain accurate case records, admission and discharge summaries
- Counsel patients and relatives on treatment and care
- Coordinate with nursing staff, NICU and other departments for patient care

Requirements:

- MBBS with experience in OBGY / Maternity (preferred)




- BAMS / BHMS with hands-on gynaecology and maternity experience will also be considered
- Valid registration with the respective Maharashtra council (MMC / MCIM / MCH)
- Prior experience in a hospital maternity or OBGY department is essential
- Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure

- Willingness to work rotational shifts is mandatory Salary: As per qualification, experience and hospital norms
