Role & Responsibilities

- Operate and handle Radial Drill Machine (RDM) for drilling, tapping, reaming, and related machining operations.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, job specifications, and dimensional requirements.

- Set up the machine, select appropriate tools, and adjust machine parameters as per job requirements.

- Perform accurate drilling operations on heavy engineering components, plates, structures, and fabricated parts.

- Check dimensions and hole accuracy using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, etc.

- Ensure proper alignment, clamping, and positioning of components before machining.

- Maintain required quality standards and achieve dimensional accuracy as per drawings.

- Identify and rectify basic machine/tool-related issues during operation.

- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow safety procedures at the workplace.

- Carry out routine machine inspection and coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns.

- Maintain daily production and job-related records.

- Coordinate with supervisors, production team, and quality department for smooth execution of work.

- Follow company safety, quality,



productivity, and operational procedures.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent technical qualification.

- 25 years of relevant experience as a Radial Drill Machine Operator, preferably in heavy engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.

- Experience in operating heavy-duty Radial Drill Machines will be preferred.

- Good knowledge of drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and related machining operations.

- Ability to read and understand mechanical/engineering drawings.

- Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.

- Ability to work independently and meet production targets.

- Basic knowledge of cutting tools, drill selection, speeds, feeds, and machine settings.

- Candidates with experience in heavy fabrication or engineering projects will be preferred.

- Valuable discipline, safety awareness, and teamwork.
