Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QC Manager with a strong background in transformer manufacturing and quality control. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete quality function, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer specifications, and maintaining consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing and testing processes.

Prior experience in the transformer manufacturing industry in a similar QC/Quality Manager role is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the complete Quality Control and Quality Assurance function for transformer manufacturing.
- Establish, implement, and monitor quality standards, procedures, inspection plans, and control processes.
- Conduct and supervise inspection of raw materials, components, in-process production, and finished transformers.
- Ensure transformers comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, customer specifications, drawings, and internal quality requirements.
- Monitor and review routine and type testing requirements, including electrical, mechanical, and other applicable transformer tests.
- Coordinate with production, design, purchase, stores, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Analyze defects, customer complaints, rejection/rework data, and implement effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Lead internal quality audits and support customer/third-party inspections and audits.
- Maintain and review quality documentation, inspection reports, test reports, calibration records, and other relevant quality records.




- Ensure proper calibration and control of testing and measuring equipment.
- Develop and monitor Quality KPIs, rejection rates, rework, process deviations, and customer complaints.
- Train and guide QC inspectors and quality personnel on inspection procedures and quality requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rejection, and manufacturing losses.
- Ensure timely closure of non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with customers and inspection agencies, wherever required, for quality approvals and inspections.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transformer manufacturing quality control.
- Prior experience in the same or a closely similar QC Manager/Quality Manager role in the transformer industry is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes and quality inspection.
- Good understanding of applicable IS/IEC standards and transformer testing procedures.
- Experience in handling customer inspections, third-party inspections, audits, and quality documentation.
- Solid knowledge of RCA, CAPA, 7 QC tools, and problem-solving techniques.
- Good leadership, team-management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage the quality function of a transformer manufacturing facility.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates currently working or having previous experience with transformer manufacturers will be preferred. Experience in power/distribution transformers and related testing and inspection processes will be an added advantage.

Important Requirement

Candidates without prior experience in transformer manufacturing / a similar transformer QC role will not be considered.

Compensation

5–8 LPA (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Salary will be determined based on relevant transformer-industry experience, technical expertise, testing knowledge, and managerial responsibilities.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
