Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Manager role based in the Bangalore Urban district.
The Purchasing
Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for manufacturing PV junction boxes, connectors, and cables.
Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and maintaining long-term supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production, quality,
and logistics teams, and implementing purchasing policies and procedures aligned with company standards and certifications.
The Purchasing
Manager will also track market trends, analyze procurement data, and support continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and supply chain management skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience with inventory control, demand planning, and cost optimization within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of renewable energy or electrical components (e.g., PV junction boxes, connectors, cables) and related quality standards and certifications.
- Proficiency in using ERP or procurement software, and solid skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building abilities across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain leadership role, preferably in the solar, electrical, or manufacturing sector.
