Role & responsibilities

- Procurement of Raw Materials: Manage procurement of castings (CI, SG Iron, Steel), forgings, and steel bars required for gearbox manufacturing.

- Material Availability: Ensure timely availability of materials in line with monthly production plans, inventory targets, and budgets.

- Alternate Source Development: Identify, qualify, and develop alternate suppliers to ensure supply continuity and reduce dependency on single sources.

- Cost Saving Initiatives: Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities through supplier negotiations, sourcing strategies, value engineering, and process improvements.

- OSP Cost Reduction: Monitor Outside Processing (OSP) costs and implement initiatives to reduce overall procurement and processing costs.

- Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness, and drive corrective actions where required.

- Digitalization: Improve and implement digital procurement processes for sourcing, purchase orders, supplier tracking, cost analysis, and procurement reporting
