Role Description The Psychologist at HITA HOSPITAL will provide psychological assessments, diagnosis, and counseling services to patients across diverse age groups and clinical conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support integrated care. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in case discussions, and contributing to mental health awareness and patient education initiatives within the hospital.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajahmundry, requiring regular interaction with patients, families,



and the multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply psychological theories and evidence-based practices in clinical settings.
- Proficiency in Counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy, with skills in building rapport and supporting diverse patient needs.
- Experience in Psychological Assessment, including administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized tests and clinical interviews.
- Basic understanding of Medicine and its interaction with mental health, enabling effective collaboration with medical professionals.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field, with appropriate registration or licensure as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and engage sensitively with patients and caregivers.
- Ability to maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, and accurate clinical records in accordance with professional guidelines.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an advantage, as well as familiarity with local languages and cultural contexts.
