Job Title: Project Manager Solar Ground Mount

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Solar Ground Mount to manage and execute ground-mounted solar power projects from project planning to completion and commissioning. The role will be responsible for overall site execution, project planning, manpower management, contractor coordination, quality, safety, timelines and project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Execution

- Plan, manage and execute ground-mounted solar projects as per project timelines and specifications.
- Monitor overall project progress and ensure timely completion of project activities.
- Prepare project execution plans, schedules and manpower requirements.
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities at project sites.
- Ensure proper execution of civil, structural and electrical works.
- Monitor project milestones and take corrective action to avoid delays.

Site & Construction Management

- Manage complete site execution activities for ground-mounted solar projects.
- Supervise installation of module mounting structures, solar modules, DC/AC cabling, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels and other electrical systems.
- Coordinate civil works including foundation, piling, roads, drainage, fencing and other site infrastructure.
- Ensure proper alignment, installation and quality of structures and modules.
- Monitor material availability and ensure proper utilization at site.
- Resolve site-level technical and execution issues.

Team & Manpower Management

- Lead and manage engineers, supervisors, technicians and site teams.
- Plan manpower deployment according to project requirements.




- Assign daily work targets and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular site meetings and review project progress.
- Ensure proper coordination between civil, mechanical and electrical teams.

Electrical & Solar Project Execution

- Oversee installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems and electrical equipment.
- Coordinate DC and AC side installation, inverter installation, transformer installation, HT/LT systems and electrical cabling.
- Ensure proper installation of earthing, lightning protection and cable routing.
- Ensure project completion as per approved technical specifications.

Quality & Safety

- Ensure all project activities are carried out as per approved quality standards.
- Monitor quality of civil, structural and electrical works.
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications and approved methods.
- Implement proper HSE and safety practices at the project site.
- Ensure use of PPE and safe working practices by all workers and contractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings.

Project Cost & Material Management

- Monitor project expenses and control unnecessary costs.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials and equipment.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of materials.
- Track project requirements and support cost-effective project execution.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

- Prepare and review daily,



weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Monitor project schedule, milestones and completion targets.
- Identify project delays, risks and execution challenges.
- Prepare MIS and project status reports for senior management.
- Conduct regular progress review meetings with internal teams, contractors and management.

Commissioning & Project Handover

- Coordinate testing and commissioning of the complete solar power plant.
- Ensure completion of punch-list and pending site activities.
- Coordinate final inspections and performance checks.
- Ensure proper documentation and project handover.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of as-built drawings, test reports and other project documents.

QUALIFICATION

- B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
- MBA in Operations / Project Management will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

- 812+ years of experience in Solar EPC / Solar Project Execution.
- Experience in handling MW-scale Ground Mount Solar Projects.
- Strong experience in project planning, site execution and contractor management.

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Strong knowledge of Ground Mount Solar PV project execution.
- Good understanding of civil, structural and electrical works.
- Strong project planning and execution skills.
- Positive knowledge of project schedules and progress monitoring.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and work under pressure.
