Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the Production Planning & Control (PPC) Department, including production planning, scheduling, material planning, inventory control, job tracking, and dispatch coordination.
2. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, delivery commitments, production capacity, manpower availability, material availability, and production priorities.
3. Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Sales, Dispatch, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of customer orders.
4. Plan and schedule production considering machine capacity, manpower availability, production priorities, changeover requirements, and customer specifications.
5. Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase Departments for timely procurement and availability of materials as per production requirements.
6. Monitor the complete order cycle, from receipt of materials through production, inspection, rework, final approval, and dispatch.
7. Prepare and release production work orders, job cards, and production schedules according to customer requirements and delivery priorities.
8. Maintain effective production loading and capacity planning to optimize machine utilization and achieve planned production targets.
9. Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) at different stages of production and ensure smooth movement of materials between processes.
10. Track daily production against the planned schedule and identify production delays, machine downtime, material shortages, and quality issues.
11. Coordinate with the Quality Department regarding rejection, rework, defects, and customer-specific quality requirements and incorporate necessary rework into the production plan.
12. Monitor and maintain records of rejection, rework, and production losses and provide appropriate reports to management.
13. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly PPC/MIS reports covering production achievement, pending orders, machine utilization, WIP, rejection, rework,



material availability, and delivery status.
14. Monitor order status and delivery commitments and communicate potential delays to management and concerned departments in advance.
15. Maintain and update all PPC-related documents, production schedules, job cards, work orders, material planning records, and MIS reports.
16. Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and excess inventory and provide periodic reports to management for appropriate action.
17. Develop and maintain effective production planning and monitoring systems to improve visibility of order status, production progress, inventory, and delivery commitments.
18. Support management in production budgeting, capacity planning, manpower planning, and resource utilization.
19. Ensure production plans are aligned with customer requirements, quality standards, available resources, and committed delivery schedules.
20. Provide training and guidance to PPC team members on production planning, scheduling, ERP/SAP transactions, MIS preparation, material planning, and inventory control.
21. Knowledge of Jewellery Manufacturing is an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 5 Years Work experience in Manufacturing industry
