About the role

We are looking for a Product Design Intern to independently drive KredMe’s app redesign and ongoing product design improvements. Your goal will be to create an experience that feels personal, smooth, and intuitive—from a user’s first interaction to everyday use.

You will own the design process from understanding usability problems to delivering designs ready for development, working with the founder and developers to bring them to life.

Responsibilities

- Audit the existing app, identify usability problems, and prioritise improvements.
- Simplify onboarding, navigation, and core user journeys.
- Create wireframes, detailed UI designs, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Establish a consistent design system covering typography, colours, components,



and interaction states.
- Improve microcopy, visual feedback, and interactions to make financial information easier to understand.
- Conduct usability testing and refine designs based on feedback.
- Support developer handoff and review implementation for design quality.

Qualifications

- A portfolio demonstrating mobile-app design and explaining your problem-solving process.
- Proficiency in Figma, including components, Auto Layout, and prototyping.
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and accessibility.
- Ability to turn complex information into explicit, usable interfaces.
- Ability to plan work independently, explain design decisions, and collaborate remotely.

Experience with consumer or fintech apps is a plus. Academic, personal, freelance, and internship projects are welcome if they demonstrate strong product thinking.
