Roles and Responsibilities :
- Process patient medical bills, ensuring accurate and timely submission to insurance companies.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history for proper coding and claims processing.
- Enter charges into the system accurately and efficiently using various software applications such as Epic Systems or similar systems.
- Review and resolve discrepancies in charge entries, payments, or other related issues.
Job Requirements :
- 1-5 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
- Robust understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and HCPCS level II codes.
- Proficiency in incharge entry, payment posting, and other relevant functions within an electronic health record (EHR) system.
