About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Private Chef to independently manage the kitchen for a family of three residing in Salisbury Park, Pune.

The household follows a strictly vegetarian Jain/Marwari diet, and the chef should have strong expertise in vegetarian Indian, Continental, Italian and fusion cuisine, along with the ability to plan healthy, diet-conscious meals.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily meals for the family across Indian regional, Continental, Italian and fusion cuisines.

- Plan weekly and monthly menus according to the family's dietary preferences and requirements.

- Prepare healthy and diet-conscious meals and maintain adherence to dietary requirements.

- Maintain a strictly vegetarian Jain/Marwari kitchen at all times.

- Coordinate and prepare meals for guests whenever required.

- Supervise and delegate preparation work to 1–2 kitchen helpers.

- Train and guide kitchen helpers to maintain quality and efficiency.

- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety and sanitisation.

- Manage stock rotation and conduct regular expiry checks.





- Handle basic upkeep and maintenance of kitchen appliances.

- Coordinate smoothly with other household staff and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.

- Be available to support the family during festive periods as required.

Candidate Requirements

- Prior experience as a Private Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel, hospitality environment or private residence.

- Strong command of vegetarian Indian, Continental and Italian cuisine.

- Experience with menu planning and diet-conscious meal preparation.

- Prior experience supervising, training and delegating work to kitchen support staff.

- Comfortable working in a strictly vegetarian Jain/Marwari household.

- Solid understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety and sanitisation.

- Good knowledge of stock management and expiry checks.

- English and Hindi communication skills required; Marathi would be an advantage.

- Willingness to live in Pune and work on a live-in basis.

- Must be comfortable working during festive periods when required.

Additional Information

The residence has 1–2 household staff members, 1–2 full-time kitchen helpers for preparation support, and a dedicated utensil cleaner.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the culinary function while effectively supervising the kitchen support team.
