nJob Description – Pre-Sales Consultant | Networking

nRole Overview

nWe are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant with a strong Networking background to support customer engagements, requirement gathering, solution development, and technical proposal preparation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on networking experience and the ability to translate customer requirements into suitable technical solutions.

nKey Responsibilities

- Conduct customer discussions and gather business and technical requirements .
n
- Understand customer network infrastructure, challenges, and project objectives.
n
- Analyse requirements and recommend appropriate networking solutions .
n
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations teams.
n
- Prepare technical proposals, solution documents, BOMs, SOWs, and RFP/RFQ responses .
n
- Develop high-level network designs and solution architectures.
n
- Prepare technical presentations and conduct solution walkthroughs with customers.
n




- Participate in customer meetings and provide technical consultation.
n
- Coordinate with technology vendors and partners for solution validation and pricing.
n
- Provide technical inputs for quotations and commercial proposals.
n
- Identify project scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and technical requirements.
n
- Support multiple customer opportunities and projects simultaneously.
n

nNetworking Skills Required

- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, Routing & Switching .
n
- Enterprise Wi-Fi/Wireless Networking .
n
- Network Security, Firewalls, VPNs, and ACLs.
n
- SD-WAN and network connectivity.
n
- Data Centre Networking.
n
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting.
n
- Network architecture and infrastructure design.
n
- Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar technologies is preferred.
n
- Ability to understand and create high-level network diagrams.
n

nRequirements

- 3–7+ years of experience in Networking, Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, or a similar role .
n
- Strong networking/technical background.
n
- Experience in customer-facing requirement gathering and technical discussions .
n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
n
- Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
n
- Experience working with Sales, Engineering, Vendors, and Project teams.
n
- Candidates with a Network Engineer background who have moved into Pre-Sales are encouraged to apply.
