Role:

To ensure that every vehicle/product is inspected, tested, and confirmed to meet required quality and customer specifications before delivery.

1. Vehicle Inspection

- Perform PDI according to the manufacturer’s approved checklist and SOP.
- Inspect vehicle exterior for scratches, dents, paint defects, panel gaps, and other transportation damage.
- Inspect interior condition, seats, dashboard, trims, carpets, and upholstery.
- Check underbody, wheels, types, and wheel alignment condition.
- Verify vehicle identification number (VIN/chassis number) and engine number where applicable.

2. Functional & Safety Checks

- Check engine starting, idling, and abnormal noise/vibration.
- Verify brakes, steering, suspension, clutch/transmission, and accelerator operation.
- Check all exterior and interior lights, indicators, horn, wipers, washer system, and reverse lamps.
- Test HVAC/air-conditioning and heating systems.
- Check power windows, central locking, mirrors, infotainment system, camera, sensors, and other electronic functions.
- Verify safety systems such as airbags, ABS, ESC, seat belts, and warning indicators, as applicable.

3. Fluid & Mechanical Checks

- Check engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, washer fluid, and other applicable levels.
- Check battery condition, terminals, and charging/voltage status.
- Verify tyre pressure and inspect tyres for damage or abnormal wear.
- Check for oil, coolant, fuel, brake-fluid, or other leakage.

4. Diagnostic & Quality Checks

- Perform diagnostic scan using the approved diagnostic equipment.
- Check for DTCs/fault codes and warning messages.
- Ensure software/ECU updates are completed when required.




- Verify that all identified defects are rectified before vehicle release.

5. Accessories & Documentation

- Verify standard accessories, spare wheel/tyre or puncture kit, tool kit, jack, mats, warning triangle, and other applicable items.
- Check vehicle documents, manuals, warranty information, and service records.
- Confirm registration-related documents and delivery documentation as applicable.

6. Defect Rectification & Re-Inspection

- Record all defects identified during PDI.
- Coordinate with the workshop, quality, production, logistics, or concerned department for corrective action.
- Conduct re-inspection after rectification.
- Ensure no open critical defects remain before vehicle delivery.

7. Final Delivery Readiness

- Ensure the vehicle is washed, cleaned, and properly prepared for delivery.
- Confirm fuel/charge level according to company requirements.
- Ensure protective materials are removed where applicable.
- Complete and sign the PDI checklist.
- Release the vehicle only after all required quality and safety checks are satisfactorily completed.

Key Accountability The PDI team is responsible for ensuring that only vehicles meeting defined quality, safety, functional, and appearance standards are released for customer delivery.
