Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to manage project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress reporting for civil construction projects. The candidate will coordinate with project teams to ensure activities are planned and executed within the approved schedule, budget, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain project schedules, work programs, and construction plans.
- Develop detailed WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and activity schedules.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS/Billing Engineers, subcontractors, and other departments.
- Track planned vs. actual progress and identify delays or deviations.
- Prepare catch-up and recovery schedules for delayed activities.
- Monitor critical activities and identify potential schedule risks.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules for weekly and monthly site execution.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and resources with project requirements.
- Update project schedules based on actual site progress.
- Assist in preparing S-curves, progress curves, productivity reports, and dashboards.
- Analyze project delays and support preparation of delay/extension-of-time documentation.
- Maintain proper planning and project control records.




- Attend project review meetings and present progress updates to management.
- Ensure coordination between planning and actual site execution.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of civil construction planning and project scheduling.
- Good understanding of construction activities, sequence, and project execution.
- Experience in MS Project / Primavera P6.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to prepare and monitor baseline schedules.
- Knowledge of WBS, S-curves, progress tracking, and resource planning.
- Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify delays and recommend recovery measures.

Eligibility
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 4–10 years of relevant experience in civil construction planning.
- Experience in building construction / residential / commercial / infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Candidates willing to work at project sites are preferred.
