Role Description The Physician Assistant in Orthopedics will work full time in office at Rohini Hospital in Thrissur, supporting orthopedic surgeons and physicians in delivering high-quality musculoskeletal care. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in outpatient clinics, conducting patient histories and physical examinations, and supporting diagnostic and treatment planning for orthopedic conditions. The role involves assisting in minor surgical procedures, wound management, casting and splinting, and post-operative follow-up under the supervision of orthopedic specialists.





The Physician

Assistant will also coordinate patient education, rehabilitation instructions, documentation in medical records, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Orthopedics and Medicine to assess, diagnose, and manage musculoskeletal conditions.
- Clinical experience or training in Orthopedic Surgery and Surgery, including assisting in procedures and perioperative care.
- Demonstrated Patient Care skills, including compassionate communication, pain management, and rehabilitation support.
- Recognized Physician Assistant qualification, licensure/registration as required by local regulations.
- Experience in hospital or clinical settings, preferably in orthopedic or surgical departments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
