1. Pharmacy Operations Management

· Oversee daily pharmacy operations and medication dispensing.

· Ensure accurate storage, handling, and distribution of medicines.

· Manage pharmacy workflow to maintain efficiency and patient safety.

2. Inventory & Supply Management

· Monitor drug inventory and maintain optimal stock levels.

· Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of medicines and medical supplies.

· Prevent stock shortages, expiries, and wastage.

3. Regulatory Compliance

· Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies.

· Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.

· Follow standards set by authorities such as the Pharmacy Council of India and Central Drugs Standard Control Organization.

4. Team Leadership

· Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistants.

· Conduct staff training and performance evaluations.

· Ensure retention of staff

5. Medication Safety & Quality Control

· Implement medication safety protocols.





· Monitor adverse drug reactions and medication errors.

· Ensure quality control of drugs and medical supplies.

6. Coordination with Medical Staff

· Work closely with doctors, nurses, and hospital administration.

· Provide guidance on drug selection, dosage, and interactions.

7. Budget & Cost Management

· Manage pharmacy budgets and optimize procurement costs.

· Track medication usage and financial performance of the pharmacy department.

8. Other tasks

- To inform to the prescriber for non availability of the drug in the pharmacy through a written notification and suggested for substitutions.
- Ensuring compliance for the audits and participating in the audits.

- Co-ordination with vendors
- Regular stock audits and ensure stock match in system as well as physical stock.
- Review annually medication list for the patient safety and efficacy.

Qualification: B. Pharm/ M. Pharm with PG Full time in MBA in SCM/ MHA Experience: 12+ Years (Hospital experience)is Mandatory & 5 years in leadership role
