- Dispense prescribed ophthalmic and general medicines to patients as per doctors prescription.

- Check prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, frequency, and duration before dispensing.

- Explain proper medicine usage, dosage, storage, and precautions to patients.

- Maintain adequate stock of eye drops, injections, tablets, surgical medicines, and other pharmacy items.

- Monitor expiry dates, near-expiry medicines, batch numbers and storage conditions.

- Maintain proper records of medicine purchase, receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.

- Ensure FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) and proper inventory practices.

- Raise purchase requirements/indents based on consumption and minimum stock levels.

- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, OT, stores, and the operations team regarding medicine requirements.





- Ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive medicines, wherever applicable.

- Manage returns, damaged stock, expired medicines, and disposal as per applicable procedures.

- Maintain pharmacy billing and documentation accurately.

- Monitor medicine consumption and identify unusual variances or shortages.

- Support the hospital in maintaining patient safety and medication-related compliance requirements.

- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy, drug-control, hospital, and internal policies.

- Participate in audits, stock verification, NABH-related requirements, and documentation.
